The first post about Los Angeles

I could try to describe rationnally how excited I am to move to Los Angeles. I could try to explain that it is a wonderful work opportunity. I could talk about the climate of Southern California. I could mention that it looks difficult to get an apartment that doesn’t come with a swimming pool. I could point out that it’s my chance to finally get to meet David Beckham.

Except that it wouldn’t be enough.

So the best thing I can do is to tell you what I think of when I think of Los Angeles.

It’s early on a Saturday morning, I’m hungry and dying for a coffee. On my way to my favourite diner I pick up the LA Times. I get a table by the window and the waitress takes my order.

My order, this is how good Los Angeles looks to me right now: a stack of delicious, mouth-watering, juicy blueberry pancakes served with an orange juice and a bottomless coffee.

So, bring it on.

This post is loosely and very modestly inspired by a text by Richard Brautigan called I was trying to describe you to someone in "The Revenge of the Lawn"

I want a stack of pancakes with maple syrup. Then some crunchy bacon. With a extra tall skinny vanilla late.
I would be so fat if i lived in the US!
