The Agency - Part deux

I sometimes imagine people in dark suits deciding on my future in a low voice. I sometimes imagine a picture of me popping up on a screen and guys blinking at each other behind their sunglasses.

But the truth is, I have no idea. I don’t have a clue how all of this happens, who decides who is going to do what and where. The only thing I thought I knew was when decisions were made. Well I had that wrong too.

Last Wednesday, a month earlier than expected, the Agency offered me a job. I can’t tell where it is yet as it is most highly unofficial and other offers should follow. But I’ll give two clues:

- Mademoiselle Red and I are pretty excited
- Mademoiselle Red’s less tall brother described the offer as “pretty fucking cool”

But to find out more, we’ll have to wait a few weeks.

You tease.

I quite like the idea of the darkened room with agents' pix flashing up. Though the reality is probably guys in grey suits throwing darts into a map of the world after a long lunch...

Way to go on the "making sure people come back for more" plan.

jane: sorry, i can't help you here

Jayne: i think you're right, that's probably exactly how it happens.

Nuttycow: Yes I know, i'm the cliffhanger master. And no, it's not Kuala Lupar.

Pink: Nope, it ain't Russia.
